Donor Confidentiality Policy

It is the policy of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science (ACWIS) to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with respect to donor information. ACWIS does not, and will not, share donor names, addresses (mail or e-mail), or information regarding donor gifts to ACWIS with any individual or organization not affiliated with ACWIS or the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) without written permission from the donor, except that names and mailing addresses of respondents for direct mail solicitations may, at times, be shared with other not-for-profit organizations.

From time to time donor names may be listed on ACWIS and/ or WIS publications, but only in compliance with the written agreement establishing the gift. Donors may choose to remain anonymous and unless required by law, ACWIS and WIS will honor that request.

Any changes to this confidentiality policy will be posted on the ACWIS web page (acwis.org). There will be a link to the confidentiality policy on the home page to note the date of the most recent change.

Privacy Policy

American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science (ACWIS) has created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our Web site. What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information:
Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers. 

Internet Protocol Address:
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Use of "Cookies":
Our Site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site.
